 Addiction

 I heard a man in our church say, “Everyone has a story to tell.” I thought about that for a few days and decided, that I do have a story to tell and everyone needs to hear this one!

This is a group of stories within a single story. It is a story of life filled with physical pain, which led to an unawareness of drug addiction and a battle of the physical, mental, and spiritual, ending in victory through Jesus....to continue

To Be Broken Before God

When I was praying one night in all my prayers, first I always praise God for my husband and my healing and I thank him for what he is doing in our life. He showed me that we are just like clay vessels; some are old, cracked, broken and molded....to continue

Perhaps

Twenty plus years ago I had two beautiful little girls that I loved very, very much . One morning I came home from work and their father had murdered both of them....to continue

TRUE LOVE

We use this word a lot, but do we really mean it when we say I love you or I love that. I’m guilty of this myself , when I tell someone that I love them I do mean it , but I use it a lot saying oh, I love that book or I love that dress, what I need to say is I like that book or I like that dress. A lot of us don’t know what love is. Let me tell you what God showed me this morning what True Love is....to continue

God Wants You

We get up, open our closets and complain about not having anything to wear. Jesus didn’t have a closet full of clothes, don’t you think God could have given Jesus the best designer suits and shoe to wear.

We open our pantry and say there is nothing to eat, even though it is full. Jesus didn’t have a pantry. Do you think there were restaurants in the desert or on the mountain side? No, but God fed him.

Then we look at our house and moan and complain because it is not as big or nice as we would like. Jesus didn’t have a house, but God provided him shelter. He didn’t have a nice soft bed, but God gave him rest.

We moan and groan about our cars, but Jesus didn’t have a car, he walked.

God always provided for Jesus and he will provide for us, if we will give our heart to God and he demands it all. We can not serve God half hearted. People think just because they go to church on Sunday, they can live in the worldly way the rest of the time. They are in for a rude awaking. God wants all of you and me. People that think they can buy their way in to heaven are sadly mistaken, it does not work that way; God does not take payoffs, he wants our whole heart.

I had rather be poor, homeless, and hungry and serving my God than all the wealth in the world. Because, God is going to take care of us and all our needs. What good is being rich and letting it becoming your god. You can not take it with you when you die, and I don’t think they have banks in heaven either.

Jesus gave his life for you and me. He paid the price for our sins. We can not pay God for our sins with cash or pretty things. That is not what he wants from us. He wants us, he wants us to have all our needs met and he will take care of us.

But, we need to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

Mat 4:10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

1Th 1:9 For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;

Daily Pray

Lord Jesus, you are my shelter and my shield:
All I have to do is to pray when I kneel;
When it is cold and raining ,you are my roof:
Your love and grace is my proof;
You are always there for me morning, noon or night;
All I have to do is keep my heart in prayer and look for the light;
Lord, you are the must important thing in my life, now and for evermore:
Lord, I know you will always be by my side no matter what life throws my way even when I’m crying out and walking the floor;
I can look back and see that you’ve always had your hand on me:
I pray daily that someday, when you call my name I can sit at you knee;

FEATURED STORY:
Two Brothers and the Box

Today was the first day of daylight savings time. Thank God this wasn’t the day He decided to come back for His people, for over half of them weren’t in church today!

I know, you’re asking, “What has that to do with the brothers and the box?” I’m getting to that, but I first, let me tell you about this morning’s thirty minute drive to my church. On the way I passed one “ice house”, and many churches. This Sunday morning was different;.......

There were two brothers, one named Life, and the other, named Death. ...to continue

The Widowmaker

The night the “Widowmaker” tried to come into my life. “STOP!!!” Wait a minute. Man this sounds good, but I’m getting a head of the story, let’s start at the beginning.

Now this is for all you men, you know which one of you I’m talking about “superman", "the tough man", "the invincible man", "the powerful man", "the unstoppable man", the one that always thinks, "I am the Man".

You know we always fill like we are superman no matter what our age. I’m no exception; I’ve always thought the same thing. So when I felt a little chest pain I didn’t give much thought, it must be indigestion or heart burn. I have felt it before.
