Jesus said in Matthew 25:36” … I was in prison, and
you came unto me”...
Prisoners are locked away in a world that's drastically
different from the world outside. If you help bring God's love to them, you'll
help them find the spiritual freedom that will transcend their physical
imprisonment.
Welcome to Faith in Christ
Ministries of the World Prison Ministry...
Satan is a trash man-he trashes lives and
throws them into the dumpster. Then he convinces the world that they have no
value or worth.
Jesus Christ is the recycler. He reaches
his hands into the dumpster and lovingly scoops up these broken shards of lifeand with the Master's touch, He
transforms these shattered fragments into beautiful stained glass windows.
Jesus described ministry in five words:
"Love your neighbor as yourself."
Not all "neighbors" are easy to love!
Simply put: Prison ministry is loving the neighbors who most people are
afraid to love! -by Janalee DiGian
Sitting on the back porch thinking
About the time I’ve done, knowing
I’m a free man never again on the run.
I have you Momma to thank, for
Your faith and your prayers for me.
Momma once told me that crime…….
It doesn’t pay, that was on my mind
When they came and took me away.
Oh Momma! Why didn’t I listen to you
I was young and wild, playing the fool.
Oh Momma! Don’t let them take me away!
Oh Momma! Please let me stay!
I was crying deep within my cell,
Knowing I was bound for destruction
And for HELL!!!! But little did
I know that you were praying for me.
Then I heard her voice come to me
And say “If you’d have listened to your
Mother you wouldn’t be here today.”
Now the years have passed, I’ve done all
My time. I can see all the mountains,
Rivers, and the skies.
No more worrying, no more being alone.
Because of my Momma’s prayers,
I’ve found the road to life and now
I’m headed home, truly free at last.
WHO DO YOU
TRUST?
Trust: The trust a Christian has in God is an example of
his or her faith; the greater the trust the greater the degree of faith.
My intention is for you to look up and read scriptures;
this will get you into the Bible.
God cannot be trusted in the flesh. We are to trust the
Lord in the spirit for HE is a Spirit. Trust wipes out all fear. While you are
in prison the Lord wants you to trust HIM. Especially during the holidays the
enemy likes to whisper you are all alone, locked up don’t but that lie, TRUST
HIM HE LOVES YOU...to continue
In Hebrews 13:3-4, we are told
to go into the prisons and feel what the prisoners are feeling. In obedience to
God's Word, we go to the prison to share the love and forgiveness of Christ When
we truly are sorry for our mistakes and repent, God is faithful to forgive us.
What are some of the feelings of inmates while in prison?
Loneliness is a big part
of a prisoner's life while in prison. The inmate tries to mask himself in
the day time by keeping busy, but as one prisoner said, "Come night time all
men cry!"
Anger is another feeling prisoners have
to deal with while in prison. It is believed that rejection is a big source
of most anger problems. They have been rejected by their best friends,
family, loved ones, co-workers, and sometimes even their churches. Anger is
not only a problem prisoners struggle with, but many in the world have the
same struggles. At home it's called domestic violence, on the highway it's
called road rage, and if we internalize it we end up depressed. This is why
we offer anger management classes both in and out of prison. Many inmates
struggle with being angry because they feel so cut off from the outside
world when they are unable to communicate outside the prison walls. This is
why we have those who are interested in writing letters keep in touch with
notes and cards. They need to know they are not forgotten and that someone
is willing to help give them another chance at life.
I'm sure there are many other struggles these
inmates experience. The above-mentioned are just an example of some of the
struggles we see on a regular basis. I hope this will give you a better
understanding as to why we desire to share the gospel of Jesus Christ in the
prison. He is the only one who can forgive, love, and heal all the hurts and
things of the past as they are laid at His feet. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a
new creature, old things have passed away and lo and behold all things are fresh
and new again! 2 Corinthians 5:17

Cracked Pots
A water bearer in India had two large pots, each hung on
each end of a pole which he carried across his neck. One of the pots had a crack
in it, and while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion
of water at the end of a long walk from the stream to the master’s house, the
cracked pot arrived only half full...to continue
