Details about a Miracle in the making:
I had always said all my life I wish I could see a miracle and then it happen. One night my wife and I got a phone call late one night. It was my sister-in-law asking us if we could go to a hospital about an hour away. That’s where her husband had been taken and she didn’t know what was going on. We told her we would and would call her back and let her know how he was doing. When we got to the hospital we found him unresponsive and a nurse told us he might not make it through the night. For nearly a week he didn’t improve any at all. Then one day while I was at the hospital I heard the doctor tell my sister-in-law the only thing that might save his life was a heart transplant. My wife and I called on our pastor and church member to start praying for him. The next day when I went to the hospital to check on him I found out he was starting to respond to his wife and nurses. The following day the doctor told his wife that only 10% of his heart was working and they didn’t expect him to make it more than a few days. The doctor told his wife he needed a heart transplant. I didn’t realize that God had a miracle in the making. That was, to let the doctors know that He was the great physician not them. Then a few days later the doctor told his wife that 20% of his heart is working now, but he still didn’t think he would make it. That day he sat up in his hospital bed and started talking to everyone and telling jokes. To my surprise the next day when I went to see him he meet me at the door of his hospital room in his blue jeans and a shirt. And I ask him, “What was he doing up walking around.” Again to my surprise he told me he was waiting for the doctor to release him from the hospital to go home. That was about sixteen months ago and he is a live and doing well. Praise God. After reading other peoples stories on the website I realize I had seen my first miracle, but I didn’t recognize it had happen to my daughter some thirty-two years ago. My daughter was born totally deaf and I had doctor records to prove it. Then one night at a church revival they ask if anyone needed prayer for healing and without thinking I carried her up front to be prayed for. A few weeks later I noticed she started to react to some sounds. For a second time she was carried back to the doctor to be checked out for her hearing. This time they told us she could hear some sound, but could not explain why, for nothing had changed. The point here is this. God answer my prayers some thirty-two years ago, but I didn’t have my eyes open to what God had done. So many times God answers our prayers, be they large or small, but we let today’s troubles blind us to the truth.
