Details about Let the Future Speak:
Let the Future Speak
As I was studying the Word one day, I came
across a very interesting text, one that I had read before. But this day an
awesome Word came to me. I don’t know how much this means to anyone else, but
God put it on my heart to write this, and I would like to share it.
This particular story can be found in the book of Job 32:6-13. ( The New
International Version,)
"So Elihu son of Barakel the Buzitesaid:
I am young in years, and you are old; that is why I was fearful, not daring to
tell you what I know. I thought, Age should speak; advanced years should teach
wisdom.
But it is the spirit in man, the breath of the Almighty, that gives him
understanding.
It is not only the old who are wise, not only the aged who understand what is
right.
Therefore I say: listen to me; I too will tell you what I know.
I waited while you spoke, I listened to your reasoning; while you were searching
for words;
I gave you my full attention. But not one of you has proved Job wrong; none of
you has answered his arguments.
Do not say, We have found wisdom; let God refute him not man.”
When God is in our youth, His wisdom and understanding, then let them speak.
Listen to them, for it is not only the aged that has wisdom, though we should
teach our youth what we know and learned. We also should allow them to teach us
what they have learned, for the Bible says that the student will tell the
instructor of what he has learned.
While we are living the end of our lives, theirs are just beginning. We know
Yesterday; we've seen and lived it. They are living and know more of Today and
need to teach it. God gave us Yesterday, and He has given them Today. Let's not
silence them today, for they will need to speak tomorrow.
Let them be prepared, by starting to listen to them today. After all, God is the
same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. As it is written in Job 32:8-9, we see, it
is the spirit in man, the Holy Spirit, that gives understanding. It is not only
the old that is wise or understands what is right, so I say, let's listen to our
youth for even a baby can teach us something.
In this particular text, this young man showed more wisdom than the elders, and
spoke his wisdom before they could do anymore damage to their souls. In reading
Job32:13-14, one could say that this young man ( Elihu) is wise beyond his
years. That's because wisdom is in itself well beyond years. For because wisdom
comes from, and is God, no age, or time can be put on God. Further evidence of
this young man's wisdom (Godliness), God filled spirit, and anointing is found
in Job 33:12, as he says to Job, "But I tell you, in this you are not right, for
God is greater than man."
The young man speaks good words of wisdom also in
Job 34:4,"Let us discern for ourselves what is right; let us learn together what
is good". Oh what words of wisdom, for out of the mouths of babes. In Job 36:3,
"I get my knowledge from afar; I will ascribe justice to my maker. Let the
future speak".
