First, Second and Third Place ribbons will be given out each
month for 12 months.
A Grand Prize (To be named later this year.) will be given out on January 1,
2010

Contest Rules: |
|
| |
1. You must memorize one verse from each chapter of the Bible. There is no limit
to how many verses per week or month.
2. All verse will come from the same Bible (King James Version). So that
everyone is studying from the same Bible.
3. You must bring a list of what verses you are going to be reciting for that
month.
4. Any youth can participate starting any time during the year.
5. On or before the last Sunday of each month, you must recite as many verses as
you can without any mistakes or missing words. You only get one chance to get
each verse right. All contestants will be recorded to make sure they recited the
verse correctly. The winners will be announced the following week.
6. All winners for that month (First, Second and Third Place) will have their
picture posted on the contest page on both web sites.
7. There will be no tie breakers. If two or more recite the same amount of
verses, correctly without any mistakes, each month that is how many ribbons will
be awarded for that month, for that particular place (First, Second or Third
Place).
8. A winner will be picked each month for the one that can memorize the most
verses for that month correctly without any mistakes.
9. The next month’s winner will be the one that can remember the most verses
from the past month, plus the new verses for this month. Example: If this is the
fifth month of the year, you will need to recite as many of the verses you have
memorize for the past four months, plus the new verses for the fifth month. So
on and so forth.
10. If you have memorized one verse from each chapter of the Bible without any
mistakes before December, then you can memorize as many bonus verses as you can.
11. On the last week of December the winner will be decided by how many verses
you have memorized, one verse from each chapter of the Bible, you will need to
recite as many verses from the past 11 months plus Decembers verses correctly
without any mistakes. If you recite all of them correctly, then you can recite
as many bonus verses as you want too.
12. Grand Prize Winner will be decided by the one who has memorized the most
verses correctly without any mistakes for the past 12 months plus as many extra
verses you have learn during the year.
